Pensar = Think

Pensar = To think (pen-sar)

As in:

  • Pienso que sí. = I think so.
  • Pienso que no. = I don’t think so.
  • Sin pensar = Without thinking
  • ¿Qué piensas? = What do you think?
  • ¿Qué estás pensando? = What are you thinking?
  • Cuando menos piensas = When you least expect it. Which you’ll hear in Shakira’s song Sale El Sol.
  • ¡Ni pensarlo! = No way!, Not a chance!
  • Pensar mal = To think poorly about someone or something {Literally: think bad}.
  • Piensa en verde = Think in Green. You'll hear this in Spanish Heineken ads.

Yo: pienso (I think)

Tú:  piensas (You think)

Él/ella/usted: piensa (He/she/you think[s])

Nosotros/nosotras: pensamos (We think)

Vosotros/vosotras: pensáis (You guys/you all think)
